What is this?

It's been so long since we've had rain here I forgot what it looked like. Today we had a heck of a storm move through. Although it only lasted about 15 minutes, it was quite awesome. I LOVE the rain! Obviously I need to clean out the rain gutters cuz I had quite the waterfall, LOL! I tried to get some shots of the lightning, but it didn't cooperate, darn it!

Deep Thoughts

I sometimes feel a sudden urge to run around naked.
But I just drink some Windex and it keeps me from streaking!

Here's another submission to Roger's Creative Photography contest. I took this using the super macro option on my camera. It's kind of cool how the subject is in focus and the rest is a blur. Reflections

Here's yet another entry for Roger's contest over at Creative Photography.


After watering the lawn this morning, I decided to play with the camera a little. I noticed the water droplets on the Trumpeters vine and the reflection of the neighbor's tree in the droplets. What a cool shot! I edited it with Photoshop using the omni effect in the filter options. It highlighted the droplet just enough to enhance the image and make it look like it's glowing from within. Michelle keeps tagging everyone who reads her blog and I happen to be one of the unfortunate ones! LOL! This time the subject is quirks. What exactly is a quirk? A quirk is an odd habit. Quirk, Quirk, Quirk. Isn't it a funny little word? Anyway....

Here's my six:
1) Under or Over? My toilet paper has to go on the TP holder to it rolls over the top. If I find yours going under, I will probably change it.
2) My windshield has to be clean and streak free. I will wash my windows while driving down the road if I have to. Right Mom? LOL!
3) The TV is almost always on. Even if I'm on the computer, piano, reading (like I ever read) and even when I go to bed. I like the background noise. If it's too quiet, it annoys me. Yes, it's on now.
4) When I eat dinner, if I have meat, taters, and a veggie, I will always eat the veggies first, then the taters, and the meat last. Don't ask me why. Just do.

How's 4? Can't think of more now. It's bedtime and I'm tired!

Creative Photography

While cooking Chicken Fajitas for dinner the other morning(I work the graveyard shift), I was noticing how beautiful the colors blended together. I usually take pictures of nature outside, but thought, what the heck. Nature created this, too. So, I've decided to intertwine my creative talents in the kitchen and behind the lens. No photoshop here, just Mother Nature and myself in harmony. BTW, the fajitas were awesome!!! I made enough to feed me for 3 days. They were equally good, each and every day. YUM! Ok, for those whom I previously offended, I apologize. I'm not sorry I said the words I said, but I apologized for my foul use of a certain word. I have since mellowed out a little, so I've edited my previous post(mostly). It will never happen again! LOL!

Men

If this offends someone...tough shit!!!!

Can't us women be tired and grouchy if we're not OTR? Why is it that if your a little grouchy, men always say it must be that time of the month? Maybe it's them! Maybe we just get sick and tired or THEIR whining and sheer (or obvious) stupidity that we need to be a little grouchy to get our point across. I've just had a couple of grouchy days at work and have to vent. I don't have the most glamorous job and not exactly the easiest, but it's doesn't take a rocket scientist either. I am a night stalker, oops, I mean night stocker at a local grocery store. All I have to do is put freight on the shelf then face. Sounds simple enough, right? Then why do I have to explain to the f#*%ing men that I work with what to do on a daily basis? I just had my 11 year anniversary last Sunday, but lately it seems like 50 years. In my department, I work with 2 men. One has been there 9 years and the other 7 years, but still, i have to delegate what aisle to throw first and what to face first. It's the same everyday!!!! OMG!!! F#*%ing morons!!!! And they are soooooo slow. I throw double the amount that they do. Today, for example, I did 2 1/2 pallets compared to my partners 1 pallet. AAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!!!! It's chaos on my days off because I'm not there to delegate. And I refuse to work 24/7. To make a long story short, I've complained to my department manager enough that we've decided that I will create a daily check off list of what to do. Everyone will have to initial next to what they have done. How retarded it that? Anyway, I have the next 2 nights off so I don't have to deal with their stupidity.

Creative Photography

Roger over at Idaho Photo is starting a weekly photo contest called Creative Photography. Since I love to take pictures of anything and everything, thought I'd submit a photo. These were taken yesterday. Notice the bright blue sky. Not a cloud in sight. It was a beautiful day!

The Cat

A man absolutely hated his wife's cat and decided to get rid of him one day by driving him 20 blocks from his home and leaving him at the park. As he was getting home, the cat was walking up the driveway. The next day he decided to drive the cat 40 blocks away. He put the beast out and headed home. Driving back up his driveway........., there was the cat!
He kept taking the cat further and further and the cat would always beat him home. At last he decided to drive a few miles away, turn right, then left, past the bridge, then right again and another right until he reached what he thought was a safe distance from his home and left the cat there.. Hours later the man calls home to his wife:
'Jen, is the cat there?'
'Yes,' the wife answers, 'why do you ask?'
Frustrated, the man answered, 'Put that sumbitch on the phone, I'm lost and need directions!' The wife looked at the cat.....
