My family gets together every Christmas for too much food and too much fun. Here are some digital pages I created using PSE7.

Across The Miles

Tonight was our annual family Christmas gathering. It was fun, as usual, but we were missing one key person. My mother, Dorothy. She lives several hundred miles north of us and has been unable to make it home for the holidays for the last couple of years. We get to see her throughout the year, but it would be nice to have her here at least for Christmas. Maybe she plans it that way so she can avoid things like the following, LOL! I have a video option on my digital camera, so we decided to make this little family video to send to her this year. Merry Christmas, Mom! I love you!!

What I'm thankful for

It's that time of year for reflection and to acknowledge the things we are thankful for. Here are a few things I am thankful for.

My family - thank you for being there when I need you.

My friends - same goes for you, too. Thanks for listening.

My job - most days.

My health - taking care of a couple issues right now, but overall, still good.

My children - ok they're cats, but they're still my children.

Music - couldn't imagine life without it.

I'm sure there's much more, but it would take all day to list and I don't want to bore you.

I slaved all day Wednesday to make pies for Thanksgiving dinner. Here's part of what I went through.

**start with the pastry**form into nice round ball**make sure it fits**

**fold in half*****fold in half again*****place in pie plate**

**unfold*****tuck under edges*****flute the edges**

**prick with fork***close up shot***HOT 450 degree oven**

**bake for 10-12 minutes*** The end result***

I was too lazy to take pictures of the filling process so you just get to enjoy the end result. Yum! I actually had time to make the pastry from scratch this year. Had a little left over so I rolled it out, sprinkled it with sugar and cinnamon and baked. Forgot how flaky and yummy my recipe is.
